The Bad - Alt-History was handled poorly in this DLC pack. The best event in the game was introduced, with the Translvanyia mediation, a total of 24 different outcome events or something like that, more events should seek to be like this diplomatic ping pong. Military equipment licensing is a good mechanic, albeit cheesy in MP. I always enjoyed playing Czechoslovakia and standing up to the Germans, or playing Hungary and reconquering lost territory - I mean, its just a lot of fun this region and I have to give credit where credit is due.
I personally am a big fan of this DLC but, it has some key weaknesses with focus tree designs. The region in general is actually really fun, and I would rate this much higher if not for other key arguments I will bring up later for the other DLCs. Regarding the four that are sandwiched between the Axis and Comintern, its unique in that you must pick a side for the upcoming war. The Good - Fun popular nations in Europe. A DLC that was released nearly 5 years ago still has massive problems like this? Half of your focuses with this DLC is locked behind being at war, which is an interesting touch but a little boring in the pre-war buildup. Not only is that the only game breaking bug for India, but if you do the civil war to liberate India, you lose all your units and get 0 units to fight. You can get 0% manpower through a bug and its still a mess. You would think the "crown jewel" of the Empire would get more respect regarding their focus tree. The Ugly - To this day, India remains broken and boring. Not a paid feature, considering how integral lend lease was to the war effort, this boggles me. The Bad - Lend lease should've been in the base game. The Good - Grants focus trees to allied nations within the British Empire - easy to learn the game and follow the United Kingdom to victory. There are currently 6 paid DLCs available for Hearts of Iron 4 - and I will be ranking them from worst to best. I am waiting to do "Finnish Him" for the next Soviet based DLC. Also sitting at a little above 2300 hours - I've played quite a bit.
Hearts of Iron is my favorite game of all time, I've been actively playing since release back in 2016 and have watched the development of the game eagerly since then.
